The world of startups and entrepreneurship is a highly competitive and constantly shifting one. To be a successful entrepreneur, you need skills that are hardly taught in any classrooms in the world. You may have a great idea, but to realise it into a startup and then scale it into a company is still a daunting task. Any great ideas never make it because their backers do not have the skills and the tools to build a startup. Providing you with these skills and a network, to build your own company is what SLP is all about.

Why SLP?

You may be a great engineer with a brilliant idea or an amazing designer with ground-breaking designs, but if you have had a traditional education, chances are, that your education did not address the needs of an entrepreneur. Even MBA programs focus mostly on providing you with skills to function “inside” of an organization. But what if you don’t want to fit inside any organization? What if you want to start something of your own? And, most importantly, what if your ideas are new and revolutionary -books and advice are not sufficient for you? This is where SLP comes in.

SLP is a startup boot camp for entrepreneurs like who have great ideas and want to turn those ideas into viable businesses. We have a flexible course structure, designed to cater to the needs of our diverse Fellows. Over the course of six months, we prepare you for the challenges you face in the journey to build your startup. But it doesn’t just stop there. Beyond those six months lies a lifetime network of experienced and creative entrepreneurs, who are spread all over the world. The SLP network is vast and with 2200 Fellows, it provides a support system  wherever you might need it.

What do we look for in our Fellows?

At SLP, we are constantly trying to add creative individuals with the potential to lead to our network. We do not generally focus on the stage or quality of your startup. Our primary focus is YOU. We ask questions like - What qualities make you stand out? Do you have the right attitude to lead and innovate? Are you a good fit for the SLP cohort and its values it stands for? The commitment to SLP goes beyond six months. After graduating from SLP, our Fellows often choose to stay active in the SLP Network and be involved in one way or the other.
