Prateek Sharma and Siddharth Jain, envisioned doing something in the sports segment in 2016. The duo then decided to make Pune as base location for their operations and started working on Bamboo based anti-bacterial sports sock in January 2018. Funded by Technology Grant from DST, Govt. of India, Heelium started its operations in 2017.

Heelium stands out from other brands as they provide bamboo based yarn and address issues such as anti-bacterial and blister-free experience. Prateek and Siddharth are currently working on T-shirts made from recycled plastic and sports recovery footwear for marathoners and athletes.
