The founders Troy Westley (SLP fellow) and Martin Howell were announced as finalists in the category Best Startup: Environmental Impact. The second round of the awards saw 2 finalists chosen in each of the 5 five categories (Best Startup: Community/Social Impact, Best Startup Environmental Impact, Best Startup: Business, Best Startup: Tech IPO/Venture Capital Raising and Best Startup: CIO/CTO).

 Each finalist was then made to pitch their idea to a panel of judges consisting of Sir Richard Branson, Andrew Bassat, DanRadcliffe, Cliff Rosenburg, Patrick Grove, Jane Tewson and Yat Siu. CareMonkey beat the other 9 finalists, to win a trip to Necker Island with Sir Richard Branson next May!
