Alex (Chih-Hsing) Song, Founder, KalaVision. Alex is the founder of KalaVision., a company that focuses on consumer internet apps and cloud service. The company's main product, Web of Cam, has over 1 million downloads globally in Q3 2013. Before starting KalaVision, Alex is one of the founding team of iaSolution (acquired by Aplix Corporation in 2004), and R&D senior director. He was also the manager of Aplix Beijing office and lived in Beijing for 6 years. Alex holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science & Information Engineering from National Taiwan University. Andrew Hsu is the co-founder of Unomy, a web/mobile service dedicated to providing free, personalized and collaborative educational resources to self-motivated learners in Asia. Unomy also has a social purpose: to encourage creative thinking and the discovery and pursuit of personal passions. This is in response to the tradition of rote learning, rigid exams, and hierarchical educational environments in Asia, of which Andrew has been a lifelong opponent to. Aside from being an aggressive university student leader with diverse extracurricular pursuits, Andrew has worked at McKinsey & Company as a project-based business analyst, where he honed his skills in strategy formation and market/industry analysis. A rigorous self-learner and voracious reader himself, Andrew's goal in life is to be a polymath, and counts Renaissance Men from Leonardo Da Vinci to Isaac Asimov to Richard Feynman as his idols. Folix Wen is the Director of Product Development of Memlife Co.,., a company providing a new generation of N95 mask with features of comfort, function and fashion for medical use. Prior to Memlife Co.,., he have worked at One Power Biotechnology Co.,. , Taipei, Taiwan, where he has been a Chief Technology Officer. Chris Yu, CEO & Founder of bYAPPY Digital Media Group. Over 8 years of the investment banking experiences (Credit Suisse London, JPMorgan London & Deutsche Bank Taiwan) & Taiwan & 3.5 years of as a consultant in Deloitte, Chris starts to build up his own business in 2012. The team is set up in Oct 2012 & members are all coming from different areas, such as computer science, engineer, website designer and banker. bYAPPY sets up in Jan 2013 & aims to establish excellent APPs to help end users to manage their time. We are also the pioneer of the platform for Interactive Voice Response (IVR) in the mobile APP industry. Cindy Tsui was the system designer of Pebbo, a human-centered innovation consulting firm. Prior to joining Pebbo, she majored electrical engineering at National Taiwan University, which is the top university in Taiwan. However, she dropped out college during her senior year when she got the opportunity to join Pebbo. Cindy has also worked at Social Innovation Lab, a non-profit organization. Being one of the co-founders, she wish to make Taiwan a better place by using the design process to create innovative, effective, and sustainable solutions for social change.
